Weathercast: Rain to usher in milder temperatures

Cold and sunny weather this weekend will give way to mild and wet Monday, Albert Thomas Jr. explains in the Saturday, Feb. 9 installment of The Wilson Times Weathercast brought to you by NCWheels.com.

Saturday's high should top out in the mid-40s with a 10-15 mph northern breeze, with overnight lows collapsing into the mid-20s.On Sunday, expect a high of 50 to 52 with an 80 percent chance of rain by sunrise. Up to an inch of rain could fall Sunday, and Monday night could have more showers in store.

By Tuesday morning, rain chances will fall to 40 percent and the daytime high is likely to reach 60. High temperatures through the rest of the week should range from 58 to 64.


Albert Thomas Jr., a Wilson attorney and retired judge, will weigh in on Wilson's weather conditions each Tuesday and Saturday. Thomas is a forecast aficionado who recalls Wilson community weatherman Joe Overman's broadcasts on WVOT radio.
