SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors entered Spring Hope into a sweepstakes that could help revitalize the town.

HGTV’s hit show “HomeTown” highlights the work of Ben and Erin Napier in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.

The series follows the couple as they renovate turn-of-the-century homes for first-time buyers, young families and adults wishing to live closer to grandchildren.

Erin Napier also works to beautify the town’s commercial districts with murals, improved streetscapes and restored signs.

The HomeTown Takeover Sweepstakes includes a six-episode series for the winning town.

The episodes most likely will focus on the renovation of homes for its newest inhabitants, as well as a facelift for the downtown district. To qualify, towns must have a population of 40,000 or fewer residents, have homes with great architectural style and history and have a downtown district that needs a facelift.
