Readers’ Choice voting starts Wednesday

Thank you for being one of our most loyal readers. Please consider supporting community journalism by subscribing.

Southern Nash County shoppers can nominate and support their favorite local businesses as stores, restaurants and service providers compete for bragging rights in The Enterprise’s 2019 Readers’ Choice contest.

An official voting guide is included in this week’s edition of The Enterprise. Readers can make their selections by completing and returning the printed ballot and can vote online at www.SpringHopeEnterprise.com.

It’s not just brick-and-mortar businesses who will be judged. Voters can select their favorite teacher, bartender, waiter or waitress, hairstylist and favorite community ambassador.

Nominees are organized under six themes — brags, cars and trucks, dining, education, places, professionals, services and shopping.

Signing up to vote online is free, and registered users can vote once per day during the contest period.. Businesses are encouraged to promote the contest and ask loyal customers for their votes.

“This is a fun and meaningful way to recognize businesses who provide top-notch customer service right here in our own communities,” said Shana Hoover, director of sales and marketing for The Wilson Times Co., which publishes The Enterprise. “Readers’ Choice recognition will help our best businesses attract new customers as folks see who their friends, neighbors and co-workers recommend.”

Vinyl decals are awarded for first, second and third place in each Readers’ Choice category. Winners also earn the right to use The Enterprise Readers’ Choice ribbon logo in advertisements, signs and banners and display it on their websites.

To verify their listing on the ballots in today’s paper, business owners can call 252-265-7842.

Completed voting guides can be dropped off at The Enterprise’s office at 113 N. Ash St., Spring Hope, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays or mailed to The Wilson Times, Attn: Enterprise Readers’ Choice, PO Box 2447, Wilson, NC 28974.

Online voting ends at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 and all voting guides must be returned on that date. Winners will be announced in The Enterprise on Wednesday, March 27.
