Pet groomers back in business amid COVID-19 reopening

Whiskey, a Yorkshire terrier, gets a trim from pet groomer Betsy Strickland on Monday afternoon at Bubbles and Bows Pet Salon, 203 W. Main St. in Spring Hope. Groomers like Bubbles and Bows were allowed to reopen statewide May 1 as essential businesses. Strickland said being closed for more than a month as part of the coronavirus stay-at-home order hurt her bottom line, but business has been booming since she reopened.
