NASHVILLE — Four incumbents and two newcomers have filed to run for seats on the Nash County Board of Education in November’s election.

The incumbents are board Chairman Franklin Lamm who represents District 3;  Bill Sharpe who represents District 5; Ricky Jenkins who represents District 7; and Evelyn Bulluck who represents District 10.

Roy Garner has filed to run for the District 1 seat held by Doneva Chavis, who said previously that she isn’t running for reelection.

Sharonda Bulluck filed to run for the District 11 seat, which was vacated with the death of board Vice Chairwoman Ann Edge in April.

During its meeting on Monday, the board plans to announce an appointee to fill the remainder of Edge’s term.

All the races are so far uncontested.

The filing period for the Nash County Board of Education ends at noon on Aug. 7.
