Deputies seek leads in car theft, joyride crash

SPRING HOPE — The Nash County Sheriff’s Office is looking for perpetrators who took a stolen car on a joyride before crashing it.

The Buick sedan shown in an accompanying crime scene photograph was reported stolen from the 7800 block of Windsor Drive in Spring Hope between 2-9 a.m. July 22.

The car was wrecked about a mile from the scene on Peachtree Hills Road. The crash caused significant damage to the vehicle’s front end.

Anyone in the area who saw this vehicle or who noticed anything suspicious is asked to call Nash County Sheriff’s Office investigators at 252-459-4121.

“We need your assistance,” Chief Deputy Brandon Medina wrote in a social media post seeking the public’s help to solve the theft.
