SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Chamber of Commerce is looking to give grant money to local small businesses negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The chamber is accepting applications from member businesses. Anyone interested needs to fill out an application and return it via email, said chamber President Karen White.

The application form is available for download now on the Spring Hope Chamber of Commerce website at www.springhopechamber.com/projects. All grant applications must be emailed to the chamber at SpringHopeChamber@gmail.com by 8 a.m. Friday.

“Don’t delay,” White said.

The chamber is raising funds for the grants with a reverse raffle with tickets that could be worth a $5,000 cash prize. The raffle is set for Aug. 8.

Tickets are $50 each. Other rewards are available in addition to the $5,000 grand prize.

Only 300 tickets were printed, so odds of winning are much better than the lottery, White said.

Tickets are available at several downtown shops including Bubbles and Bows Doggie Salon, Little General Store and the Pine Street Market, among others.

Anyone wanting to purchase a ticket can call White at 252-565-2760 or Claris Bissette at 252-904-5403.
