Church plans family fun day

SPRING HOPE — Ephesus Baptist Church, 7300 W. Old Spring Hope Road, will have a festival with bounce houses, games and food from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 13. Dan the Animal Man will bring some of his animals for a special presentation at 5:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible school slated

SPRING HOPE — Ephesus Baptist Church, 7300 W. Old Spring Hope Road, will have vacation Bible school for 3-year-olds through sixth graders from 5-8:30 p.m. Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19.Dinner will be provided at 5 p.m. each day with classes beginning at 6. Adult classes will also be provided.

Spring Hope chamber to meet

SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15 in the chamber office. All members are encouraged to attend.

Pumpkin fest volunteer meeting set

SPRING HOPE — A volunteer planning meeting for the North Carolina Pumpkin Festival is planned for 7 p.m. Monday, July 22 in the Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce office, 112 Railroad St. W. All volunteers are invited to attend.

Volunteer appreciation social planned

ROCKY MOUNT — The Nash County Recreation and Senior Services Department’s Senior Services Division will hold a volunteer appreciation social from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Nash Community College’s Brown Auditorium, 522 N. Old Carriage Road. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Thursday, Aug. 1 by calling 252-459-1375 or emailing michele.mcknight@nashcountync.gov.
